Courtyard Classroom
The outdoor class is surrounded by white standing garden beds, planters, and two greenhouses. The garden beds allow students to enjoy and nurture a variety of plants, flowers and herbs.
Student Support: Title I Funding
DeGrazia offers a wide variety of academic learning for our students, and all students receive additional support through Title I funding.

Thanks to the CHASSE Building Team, 100 MUSD families received a complete Thanksgiving meal as part of their annual ChasseGiving initiative, a heartfelt effort to support local families in need.

Dec. 8-12 - We're so excited that our PTO is sponsoring another in-school Penguin Patch® Holiday Shop to spread holiday cheer! The holiday shop is a fun way for students to shop for friends and family members and experience the spirit of giving while learning to earn, budget, and save! Our shop will be open December 8-12. Your student will have over 100 delightful gifts to choose from, all ranging in price from $0.50 to $12. This is an amazing opportunity to empower your student to choose, purchase, and give gifts to their loved ones! They will love shopping for family & friends during the school day. While your child is having fun shopping, you are also helping raise money for our school’s PTO. Holiday shop hours include M-F, 9am-3pm(ish). Open Enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year opens Dec 1! Open enrollment is for families who wish to attend a MUSD school where they do not live within the school’s attendance boundaries.

DeGrazia establishes clear expectations for the behavior expected in all classrooms and areas of school. Students are explicitly taught these expectations, and we apply positive reinforcement and consistent consequences.

Music at DeGrazia Elementary School features many musical instruments, including Boomwhackers, bucket drums, chime bars, guitars, Orff xylophones, pianos, ukuleles, and other percussion, such as egg shakers and frame drums.

Licensed by the AZ Dept. of Health Services, and AZ Dept. of Economic Security approved, our school offers preschool with small/large group activities and enrichment learning activities that promote development in the arts and large motor skills.
