Thanks to the Arizona Department of Education, MUSD has been awarded $2.4 million to expand its School Safety Officer (SSO) program, increasing the presence of off-duty police officers to the majority of schools across the district.

MUSD has expanded its transportation fleet with the addition of four new charter buses, providing students and student athletes with safe, climate-controlled, and convenient travel for far-away athletic competitions, field trips, and other school-sponsored activities.
