The MUSD Family Resource Center recently celebrated the completion of its Make Way For Books Storytime series, bringing together families for an engaging literacy experience.

Throughout the series, families had the opportunity to build early literacy skills, foster a love of reading, and spend quality time learning together. A total of eight families, representing 16 children, participated in the program.

As part of the program, 142 books were distributed to participating families, helping to build home libraries and encourage reading at home. Additionally, each family received a handmade quilt generously donated by the Highlands Quilters.

The success of the program was made possible by the dedication of  Esmeralda, the Make Way for Books facilitator, whose commitment and passion helped create a welcoming and enriching environment for all who attended.

The MUSD Family Resource Center remains committed to supporting families and promoting early literacy through programs like Make Way For Books, strengthening connections and creating lasting impacts in the community.
